James Ward “Jimmy, Jim Jim, Jim Bob, Jimbo” Lutz, 58, a resident of Elkins, passed from this life in his sleep early Thursday morning, March 4, 2021, at home surrounded by his family and under the care of Mountain Hospice following a brief battle with cancer.
Jimmy was born Saturday, December 15, 1962, in Elkins, the son of the late Olen Ward Lutz and Norma Lee Haddix Lutz. He never married.
Left to cherish his memory are two sisters, Sheila Lininger and husband Ken, and Kathy Mathis and husband Johnny, all of Mineral, Virginia, four nephews, Christopher Felton, Shiloh Felton, Jack Culotta III, and Kiley Culotta, and very special friends, Pat and Gary Miller, Gary Moats, and Larry Waldron.
Jimmy attended the schools of Randolph County and owned his own business, Jim of all Trades. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and being a diligent, hard-working man. Jimmy will be missed by his family, friends, and many Elkins residents who were his customers. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff at Mountain Hospice. They helped make Jimmy’s final journey more comfortable for him and his family.
