Janet Marie Bailor, 100, a former resident of Durbin, WV, and for the past year and a half, a resident of Elkins Rehabilitation and Care Center, passed from this life early Tuesday morning, February 14, 2012 at the nursing home. She was born Tuesday, June 6, 1911 at Durbin, a daughter of the late Calvin Bailor and Josephine Simmons Bailor. Janet was never married. Left to cherish Janet’s memory are several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Janet was the last surviving member of her immediate family having been preceded in death by five sisters and four brothers-in-law, Florence and Howard DeHaven, Mary and Gilbert DeHaven, Gladys and Howard Martin, Etta Mae and Paul Barb, and Ernestine Bailor, and one brother and sister-in-law, William and Millie Bailor. Janet attended the schools of Pocahontas County and was a housekeeper and homemaker. Janet’s request for cremation was honored and her ashes will be buried at a later date in the Arbovale Cemetery at Arbovale.
