Janice C. Bennett 1945-2020 Obituary
Janice C. Bennett, age 75 years, a resident of Norton, passed away Friday morning, September 4, 2020 at Talbott’s Personal Care Home in Belington, WV.
She was born March 31, 1945 at Kerens, a daughter of the late Bryan Wilmoth, Jr. and Louise Jackson Wilmoth.
On July 3, 1965 at Norton, she was married to Edward Lee Bennett who preceded her in death, August 7, 2009.
She is survived by two sons, Lee Bennett and wife Angela of Norton and Ralph Bennett and wife Sandy of Belington and one daughter, Ginger Cunningham of Beverly. Four grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive.
Also preceding her in death were two sisters, Helen Bradberry and Letha Wilmoth. Mrs. Bennett attended the schools of Randolph County, was a graduate of Elkins High School and attended Fairmont State College, Davis and Elkins College and West Virginia University. She retired from the Randolph County Board of Education where she worked as a teacher’s aide. A private service will be held with interment in the Phillips Cemetery at Jimtown. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 122 High Street, Morgantown, WV, 26501 in memory of Mrs. Bennett. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Janice C. Bennett.
