Jessie Phares Hinkle 1918-2002 Obituary
Jessie Phares Hinkle, 83, a resident of Timber Ridge Road near Circleville, died Friday, Nov. 8, 2002, at the Pendleton Nursing Home in Franklin.
She was born Nov. 19, 1918, in Circleville, the daughter of the late Charlie B. Phares and Josie Mullenax.
On Sept. 9, 1939, she was married to Merlin V. Hinkle, who preceded her in death on Oct. 26, 1985.
Surviving are one son, Gary Lee Hinkle and wife, Linda, Circleville; and one loving grandson, Travis Jared Hinkle of Circleville.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Ottis Phares; and three sisters, Ethel Warner, Veva Matheny and Grace Nelson.
Mrs. Hinkle was a homemaker and a member of Circleville United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Circleville United Methodist Church. The Rev. Earl Bible and the Rev. Stanley Kile will officiate and interment will be in the North Fork Memorial Cemetery at Riverton. Memorial donations may be made to the Pendleton Nursing Home.
