Jimmy Ernest Rogers 1947-2021 Obituary
Jimmy Ernest Rogers, age 74, of Parkland, FL, died Thursday, November 11, 2021, at his home. He was born May 4, 1947, in Buckhannon, WV, a son of the late Herman E. and Mary Ellis Rogers. On October 16, 1982, he married Marie Payton. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, James Rogers of Key West, FL and Justin Rogers and wife Brooke of Malabar, FL; one granddaughter, Sadie Rose Rogers; one grandson, Noah Jaxson “Jax” Rogers of Malabar; four cousins, Murl Rogers and wife Mary and Roger Scott and wife Julie all of Volga, WV, Julia Mae Scott and husband Brent of Buckhannon and Betty Jane Simpson of NC. Mr. Rogers graduated from BUHS with the Class of 1965 and proceeded on to West Virginia Wesleyan College and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. After his education was complete, he went on to become a commercial Real Estate agent. A graveside service will be held 11 AM Wednesday, November 17, 2021, in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery in Volga, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
