Joann A. Lipscomb, 64, of Eglon, passed away Friday, July 19, 2002, at her residence. Death was attributed to cancer.
She was born Feb. 19, 1938, in Davis, the daughter of the late Allen Lee and Agnes Peachie Butcher Reed.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Edward N. Lipscomb; two sons, Richard E. and wife, Shirley, and John R. Lipscomb and fiancee, Gloria Hardesty, all of Eglon; one daughter, Christa Wildesen and special friend, Wayne, of Frostburg, Md.; three brothers, Harry Reed of Davis, Jim Reed of Cleveland, Ohio, and Carlton Reed of Piqua, Ohio; one half brother, Floyd Mullenax of Florida; three sisters, Lucille Arbogast of Davis, Suzi Partin of Piqua, Ohio, and Sharon Gibson of Cleveland, Ohio; one half sister, Lorna Canon of New Creek; and eight grandchildren
Mrs. Lipscomb was a homemaker and was affiliated with the Maple Spring Church of the Brethren.
Friends were received at the Hinkle Funeral Home in Davis on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today at the Maple Spring Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Rogers Fike officiating. Interment followed in the Aurora Cemetery.
