John Lee Dressler II 1944-2011 Obituary
John Lee Dressler, II, age 66 years, a resident of Nella’s Nursing Home, passed away Wednesday evening, July 6, 2011 in the Davis Memorial Hospital.
He was born August 16, 1944 at Parsons, a son of the late John Lee Dressler and the late Mildred Louise Funkhouser Dressler.
Surviving is one son, Jacob Lee Dressler, Mabie, two brothers, William K. Hanlin and wife Sharon, St. Paris, OH and Ronald R. Dressler and wife Donna of Norton.
He was formerly married to Betty Tharpe Dressler, Rosemary Dressler and Sonya Dressler.
Mr. Dressler was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp serving in Vietnam.
He was employed as a Corrections Officer for the West Virginia Department of Corrections prior to his retirement and was a member of H.W. Daniels Post 29 American Legion.
Friends may call from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday, July 9, 2011 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday, July 10th from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Bernard Teter officiating.
Interment will follow in the American Legions Little Arlington Cemetery near Elkins where full military rites will be conducted by members of Leland D. Crawford Detachment 956 of the Marine Corps. League, H.W. Daniels Post 29 American Legion and Tygart Valley Post 3647 Veterans of Foreign Wars.
