Johnny Neil Barnhart, age 66 years, a resident of Elkins, passed away Monday, May 4, 2020 at the Davis Medical Center Emergency Department. He was born January 24, 1954 in Elkins a son of the late Luther Royce Barnhart and the late Freda Tracy Loane. He was married to Julia Bennington Barnhart who preceded him in death on June 16, 2005. Surviving is one daughter, Angela Iseli and husband John of Elkins. Two sons, Victor Barnhart and wife Karen of Beverly, WV and Scotty Barnhart and wife Erin of Coatesville, PA; three brothers, Donald Barnhart, Elkins, Jackie Loane of Marietta, OH and James Loan of North Carolina; two sisters, Sharon Pingley of Snowshoe, WV and Karen Lothes of Elkins; one granddaughter, Lacey Carr and two great granddaughters, Marceline White and Samantha Barbagallo also survive. Also preceding him in death was one sister, Judy Gray. Johnny attended the schools of Randolph County and was employed as a Correctional Officer at the Huttonsville Correctional Center at the time of his retirement. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, a graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, May 8, 2020 at the Elkins Memorial Gardens on Country Club Road. Rev. Linda Roberts will officiate and interment will follow. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Johnny Neil Barnhart.
