Mr. Johnny K. Hedrick, age 80 years, a resident of Maysville, WV, passed away early Wednesday, morning, October 10, 2012 peacefully in his sleep at Heartland of Keyser in Keyser, WV. He was born July 7, 1932 at Whitmer, a son of the late Harness Hedrick and the late Mae Conard Hedrick. On May 17, 1957, he was married to Peggy Harper Hedrick who survives in Maysville. Also surviving is one son, Robert K. Hedrick and wife Cindie Hedrick of Baldwin, MD. One grandson, Nathanael K. Hedrick and wife Karen of Refton, PA, one granddaughter, Elise C. Hedrick Burghauser and husband Jason of Whiteford, MD, two step-grandsons, Ryan McGehee and Tyler McGehee of Baltimore, MD and one great grandson, Jonathan Keith Hedrick. Also preceding him in death was one infant son. Mr. Hedrick was a retired machinist for the past 20 years and enjoyed relaxing on his farm with his wife and family. He was a member of the Whitmer United Methodist Church. Friends may call from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 6:00 – 8:00 PM Friday, October 12, 2012 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. On Saturday, October 13th he will be moved to the Whitmer United Methodist Church for visitation from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM the funeral hour. Pastor Bob D’Angelo will officiate and interment will follow in the Laurel Hill Cemetery near Whitmer where presentation of the American Flag will be made by members of the West Virginia National Guard Honor Guard Program.
