Jonathan “Jon” Edward Riffle Jr., 44, a resident of Coalton, passed from this life Saturday, February 27, 2021, at Davis Medical Center in Elkins. He had been in his usual health and death was unexpected.
Jon was born Tuesday, May 25, 1976, in Elkins, a son of Jonathan Edward Riffle Sr. and companion Tammy Fortney and the late Peggy Jean Petrice Riffle. On June 16, 2007, in Elkins, he married the former Shannon Marie Williams who survives at home.
Also left to cherish his memory is his mother-in-law who gave him a gift of life, Ginny Williams, two children, Dalton Staten of Elkins, and Hunter Staten and companion Nakeisha of Mill Creek, one granddaughter, Isabella Staten, one brother, Nick Riffle and wife Erica of Coalton, one niece Gwen Riffle, and his Greenfield Cabinetry family.
Preceding him in death besides his mother were his paternal grandparents, Donald Edward Riffle and Iris Joan Mace Riffle, maternal grandparents, Mike Frank Petrice and Jean Abbott Markley Petrice, and one niece Katelyn Elaine Riffle.
Jon graduated Forest Hills High School in Elkins and obtained his bachelor’s degree at Glenville State College. He had been employed as the logistics manager for Greenfield Cabinetry in Elkins. Jon enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf, and riding ATV’s. Two passions of his were watching baseball on TV and collecting baseball cards. Jon had a kind soul and always had a smile.
Jon’s request for cremation was honored.
