Joseph Franklin “Frank” Tingler, age 75 years, a resident of Glady, passed away Wednesday afternoon, September 2, 2020 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. He was born May 13, 1945 at Glady, a son of the late Harry Lewis and Hazel Lambert Tingler.
On December 6, 1968 at Dillon, SC, he was married to Ariadne K. Stinson who preceded him in death June 13, 1993. He is survived by one daughter, Alesa Renee Tingler of Hudson, NC, one granddaughter, Brandi Rochelle White and husband Timothy of Buckhannon,three great grandchildren, Shelby Hubbard, Sophia and Kane White and his loving pup, Brandy. One foster brother, Howard Tingler of Oklahoma and one sister, Mary Kerns of Philippi also survive. Frank was a graduate of Elkins High School and a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a mechanic for the City of Elkins prior to his retirement and loved to hunt, fish and his garden. Friends may call from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Saturday, September 5, 2020 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday with Pastor Terry Cannon officiating. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery where military rites will be accorded by members of the West Virginia National Guard Honor Guard Program, HW Daniels Post 29 American Legion and Tygart Valley Post 3647 Veterans of Foreign Wars. As we continue to follow the mandate of Gov. Jim Justice and the guidelines established by the Center for Disease Control, masks and social distancing will be required for anyone attending the services for Frank Tingler.
