Juanita June Armentrout, 72, of Lansing, N.C., died Sunday morning, Oct. 20, 2002, at Watauga Medical Center.
Mrs. Armentrout was born in Parsons, on Feb. 15, 1930, a daughter of the late Burl McDonald and Minnie Messenger McDonald.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Max McDonald and Leonard McDonald; and one sister, Martha Jean Ford.
She is survived by her husband, Harlan Worth Armentrout, at the home; one son, Timothy James Armentrout of Lansing, N.C.; three daughters, Patricia Jean Rankin of Starke, Fla., Ellen Ruth Gambardella of Charlotte, N.C., and Brenda Beeman of Lake Butler, Fla.; one brother, Stephen McDonald of Parsons; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
She was a homemaker.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m today at Boone Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday in the funeral home chapel Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Paula Peek officiating. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Seby B. Jones Regional Center, PO Box 2600, Boone, N.C. 28607.
