Malone “June” Gaynor 1920-2001 Obituary
Malone “June” Gaynor Jr. of Owensboro, KY died Sept. 1 at Owensboro Mercy Health System.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Simpson Gaynor; a step-son, Michael Simpson of Bowling Green; a step-daughter, Deborah Simpson Fillman of Owensboro; a step-grandson; and several nephews and nieces.
The Davis native was an alumnus of Kentucky Wesleyan College and retired from Modern Welding. He was an Army veteran of World War II, a member of KWC All American Club, Presidents Club and Heritage Society and established the Malone and Lillian Gaynor Endowed Fund of KWC. His first wife, Lillian Lyons Gaynor, died in 1992.
Services were held Sept. 5 at Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro. Burial was in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Kentucky Wesleyan College.
