Kathryn Adeline Boserman Pingley 1912-2002 Obituary
Kathryn Adeline Boserman Pingley, 90, a former resident of Norton, and since 1989, a resident of Nella’s Nursing Home at Crystal Springs, departed this life Saturday morning, Dec. 14, 2002, at the nursing home. She had been in declining health.
She was born Sunday, Feb. 11, 1912, at Norton, a daughter of the late William Roy Boserman and Dott Ferguson Boserman.
On Sept. 10, 1928, at Elkins, she was married to Robert Francis Pingley, who preceded her in death on Oct. 23, 1969.
Surviving are one son, William “Bill” Pingley and wife, Lovada, Norton; two daughters, Nancy Bolyard and husband, Paul, Thornton, and Elizabeth “Dottie” Bertelli and husband, David, Norton; one brother, Robert Boserman and wife, Norma, Elkins; one sister, Ora Lee Garner and husband, Donald, Falling Waters; 20 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Eugene Pingley; four brothers and three sisters.
She attended the schools of Coalton and Elkins. She was a homemaker and in her earlier years enjoyed quilting and gardening. She was a Methodist.
Friends will be received at Lohr & Barb Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home chapel Wednesday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Mary Ann Conley will officiate and interment will follow at Phillips Cemetery at Jimtown.
