KATHRYN J. FOY “KATY” WEESE, age 79 years, a lifelong resident of Elkins, WV was taken by the Lord Saturday morning, August 21, 2010 at the Select Specialty Hospital at Charleston, WV.
She was born Monday, October 20, 1930 at Elkins, WV a daughter of the late Roy C. Foy and Audrey C. Skidmore Foy. She is survived by her special friend, William Kenneth “Kenny” Iseli, Elkins; seven children, Kathryn “Kathy” Corley, Elkins; Donald “Don” Reed and wife Virgie, Montrose; Ronald “Ron” Reed, Sr,, and Steven Reed, both of Elkins; Kim Currence and husband, Jake, East Dailey, Michelle Weese and companion Brad Sacks, Mill Creek; Rusty Weese, Teter Creek Lake; one sister, Delores “Peggy” Richmond, Charmco, WV; fifteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are three brothers, Wanis, Robert and Raymond “Dick” Foy and two granddaughters, Katrinia Charlyne Corley and Sierra Dawn Weese.
Katy enjoyed her final days before being hospitalized on July 5, 2010 doing what she loved to do, camping at Lower Glady with Kenny, her grandson, Douglas “DJ” Simmons and her great grandson, Brian L. Jenkins. She also enjoyed the music of the late Conway Twitty. She was a member of the Aerie # 2344, Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 5 to 8 PM, Tuesday. Final Rites will be conducted at the funeral home chapel, Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at 11:30 AM. Pastor Ann Fretwell will officiate and interment will follow at the Mountain State Memorial Gardens at Gilman, WV.
