Kenneth Brent Shiflett 1948-2022 Obituary
Services for Kenneth Brent Shiflett, 73, of Lufkin, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 11, 2022 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Brad Forrest officiating. Interment will follow in the Zavalla Cemetery.
Kenneth was born July 15, 1948 in Elkins, West Virginia, the son of the late Robbie Jean (Colwell) and Kenzie Brent Shiflett. He passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021 in a local hospital.
Kenneth was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was retired from Woodland Heights Medical Center, where he worked in plant operations for more than 35 years. Kenneth enjoyed watching television and building his space ship.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Helen Havard Shiflett; children, Violet Evans and William Evans; grandchildren, Amber Evans and Skylar Tullos; and many extended family members.
In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by extended family members.
Pallbearers will be Gary Currie, Roy Spears, Clay Hawthorne, Jerry Fisher, Gary Linton, Ryan Largent, Justin Thompson and Aaron Oliver.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
Services have been placed in the trust of Gipson Funeral Home.
