KEREN PALMER HUNTER MILLER HERRITT, age 95 years, a resident of Texas Mt., St. George, WV, departed this life Wednesday morning, August 11, 2010 at the home of her daughter and son in law, Pattie and Bob Nestor.
She was born Sunday, November 29, 1914 at Bloomburg, TX, a daughter of the late F.A. Hunter and Pattie Summerhill Hunter. On February 2, 1941, she was married to Vavil L. Miller, who preceded her in death, January 30, 1972.
Surviving are one son, Edward Earl Miller and wife Jamie of Aurora, MO; one daughter, Pattie Nestor and husband Bob of Texas Mt., St. George, WV; one brother, William Francis Hunter and wife Flora of Greenbrier, AR; five grandchildren, Melanie Wiltherell, Darrin and Evan Miller, Ted and Seth Nestor.
Preceding her in death are three brothers, F.A. Hunter, Sam Hunter, Willard Hunter; two sisters, Annie Jane Tonilli and Miriam Randall and one granddaughter, Chana Nestor.
She attended the schools of Texas. She was a welder in Galviston, TX during World War II on ships. She had worked in the hayfields bailing hay, she was a Practical Nurse, a Waitress, Secretary, a Seamstress and a Caretaker in various homes.
A graveside service will be conducted at the Lockwood Cemetery at Lockwood, Missouri on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at 11 AM.
