Larry Normal Skeens 1948-2013 Obituary
Larry Normal Skeens, 65, a resident of Elkins, passed from this life Wednesday evening, May 22, 2013, Mon General Hospital in Morgantown. He was born, Sunday, April 4, 1948 in Kentuck, a son of the late Hetzel David White and Margaret Vada Koon White. Left to cherish his memory are two children: Larry Michael Skeens of Elkins and Melinda Michelle Lambert of Nitro, two grandchildren: Caitlin Brooke Skeens and Avayhann Elizabeth Skeens, two sisters, three brothers and former wife Bonnie J. Edgar. Preceding him in death besides his parents was one brother. Larry worked as a heavy equipment operator and retired from the IUOE Local #132B for Columbia Gas and numerous other companies. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the Cheat Mountain Hunting Club. Larry’s request for cremation will be honored. A visitation and celebration of Larry’s life will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at the Randolph Funeral Home from 6p-8p.
