Lawrence Richard O’Donnell, 80, a resident of Route 1, the Talbott Road in Belington, departed this life at 1 p.m. Friday, April 19, 2002, at his home, following a lengthy illness.
He was born Aug. 13, 1921, at Rahway, N.J., a son of the late Patrick and Freda Drager O’Donnell.
In 1943, at Chicago, he was united in marriage to the former Dorothy Tomaso, who survives at their home in Belington.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Donovan, Martinsburg; and two grandchildren, Leela and Ashley Noronha.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, John O’Donnell.
Mr. O’Donnell attended the schools of Rahway, N.J. He was retired from the Harris-seybold Co. in New York.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a Roman Catholic.
At the request of the deceased his remains will be cremated. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. The family ask that memorial contributions be made to the Randolph County Humane Society.
