OBITUARY: LENORA E. MARSH Lenora E. Marsh, 93, of Teter Creek Road, Nestorville Community, died Sunday afternoon, January 10, at her home, following an extended illness. She was born April 15, 1916, near Philippi, a daughter of the late Irvin E. and Effie M. (Holsberry) Gainer. On August 7, 1939, she was married to Hayward Dale Marsh, who preceded her in death on April 25, 1982. Surviving are one son, George Neil Marsh, Teter Creek Road, Nestorville Community; seven grandchildren, Carolyn Marsh, Tim Marsh, Angela Parr, Heather Lorsong, Patricia Marsh, Lawrence Marsh and Krystle Marsh; eight great grandchildren, Baileigh and James Lorsong, Nathan Finley, Kaitlyn, Ashton and Clayton Marsh, Kristen and Catey Parr; two great great grandchildren, Haileigh and Jay Cee Parr. She was also preceded in death by one son, Lawrence C. Marsh and by two brothers, Davilla Gainer and Ernist Gainer. Mrs. Marsh was retired as a Teacher in Barbour County Schools with over 40 years service. She enjoyed gardening, mushroom hunting, quilting, painting, crafts, sewing and teaching history. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 14, from the Stemple & Forman Funeral Home, 385 South Main Street, Philippi. The Rev. Larry Poling will officiate and interment will follow in the Central Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3:00 until 9:00 P.M. on Wednesday and from 9:00 until 11:00 A.M., the funeral hour on Thursday.
