Lester A. Boylen Jr., 46, a resident of Lorentz, died Sunday, Sept. 1, 2002, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon.
He was born April 10, 1956, in Baltimore, Md., the son of the Rev. Lester D. and Nancy E. McAfee Boylen of Lorentz, who survive.
On Nov. 14, 1976, he married Kathy T. Nutter Boylen, who survives.
Surviving are one son, Nick A. Boylen, Lorentz; one stepson, Thomas Michael Newlon, Buckhannon; one grandson, Elijah T. Newlon, Buckhannon; two sisters, Janet S. Smith, Lorentz, and Brenda K. Hull, French Creek; and his maternal grandmother, Edith George McAfee Messenger, Bridgeport.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Reva Darlene Boylen.
Mr. Boylen worked for the ETI Company of Buckhannon and was a member of the Faith Tabernacle Church on the Brushy Fork Road.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Tomblyn Whitescarver Funeral Chapel where funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Pastor William F. Boylen, Pastor Walker Tony and Pastor Jerry Murrell will officiate and interment will follow in the Upshur County Memorial Park in Tennerton.
