Lester Dice 1918-2003 Obituary
Lester Dice, 85, a resident of Riverton, died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2003, at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg.
He was born May 29, 1918, in Riverton, the son of Grant Dice, who died in 1959, and Texie Harper Dice, who died in 1975.
He was married to Mary Rebecca Mallow Dice, who died on March 6, 1986.
Surviving are three daughters, Shirley Sites of Onego, Loretha Vandevander of Whitmer, and Reva Arbaugh of Circleville; one sister, Kate Kimble, Ashland, Va.; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by one infant daughter and one brother, Marvin Dice.
He was the owner and operator of Dice’s Cash Store in Circleville and was a farmer and rural mail carrier.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m Tuesday at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
The Rev. Earl Bible and the Rev. R. Malone will officiate and interment will follow in the Dice Family Cemetery, Timber Ridge, Riverton.
Memorial donations may be made to the Pendleton County Rescue Squad.
