Lester Whitehair 1914-2001 Obituary
Lester Harry Whitehair, 87, of Horse shoe Run, died Oct. 19 at Garrett County Memorial Hospital in Oakland.
He was born May 29, 1914 in Horse Shoe Run, a son of the late Roy Cleveland and Bertha Mae Snyder Whitehair.
He is survived by his wife, Julia Arhar Whitehair of Horse Shoe Run; one sister, Leona Madden of Hagerstown, MD; a graddaughter, Belinda Whitehair Free.
Three brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
Mr. Whitehair was a World War II Army veteran. He retired as supply manager for Contel Telephone Co. He was a United Methodist by faith and a member of Woodmen of the World.
Friends were received at Hinkle Funeral Home, Davis. Funeral services were held Oct. 23, at Bethel Church in Horse Shoe Run with the Rev. Shelva Sisler officiating. Interment followed in Texas Cemetery.
