Lillie Lee Rowan, 98, of Route 3, Box 366-a, Buckhannon, died Tuesday, April 23, 2002, at Holbrook’s Nursing Home in Buckhannon.
Mrs. Rowan was born April 4, 1904, in Ten Mile, a daughter of the late Abraham and Rosalee Tenney Kelley.
On May 3, 1937, she married Leroy C. Rowan, who preceded her in death in 1991.
Surviving are one son, Rudy Rowan, Buckhannon; two granddaughters, Bambi Rowan, Beckley, and Cinnamon Knicely, Ft. Wayne, Ind.; and one great-grandson, Seth Knicely, Ft. Wayne, Ind.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Doris Mae Rowan; five sisters, Eva. F. Strader, Clara Naylor, Gertie Miller, Elizabeth Kelley and Nola Naylor; and three brothers, Lonnie Kelley, Paul Kelley and Willie Kelley.
Mrs. Rowan was a homemaker and a Protestant by faith.
Friends were received at Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home on Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel today at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Lloyd Tenney officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Union Church Cemetery.
