Lily Mae Hight 1924-2001 Obituary
Lily Mae Hight, 77, Monterville, died at 11:16 am Friday, August 10, 2001, at her residence. She had been in failing health for the past several years.
Mrs. Hight was born April 30, 1924, in Blue Spring, a daughter of the late Winfield and Bertha Stalnaker Salisbury.
On April 2, 1941, she married Frank Parker Hight, who survives at Elkins Regional Convalescent Center.
Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Bonnie (Frank) Verchick and Darlene Hight both of Cleveland, Ohio, and Tammie Hight, Pfafftown, North Carolina; three sons, Ron Hight, Elkins, Ted Hight and wife, Dianne, Elkwater, and Jim Hight and wife, Gloria, Monterville; a brother, Mason Salisbury, Rainier, Washington; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Ricky Hight and Daniel Hight; five sisters, Helen Conrad, Ruby Salisbury, Nellie Pescosolido, Ivy Briggs and Wilma Currence; two brothers, Rolland Salisbury and Woodford Salisbury; and a grandson, Steve Hight.
Mrs. Hight was a homemaker and a caretaker for her mother and mother-in-law. She was a Protestant by faith.
Friends will be received at F.E. Runner Funeral Home today after 6 pm. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Tuesday at 10 am with the Reverend Dr. Marvin Parli, pastor of First Baptist Church of Elkins, officiating. Interment will follow at Swecker cemetery in Brady Gate community.
