Lina M. Taylor 1933-2003 Obituary
Lina Mae Taylor, 70, a resident of Files Creek community, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2003, at 1:50 p.m. in Ruby Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient for the past 10 days. She had been in failing health for the past year.
She was born Feb. 28, 1933, in Mill Creek, a daughter of the late Charles and Hazel Currence Tackett.
On Jan. 14, 1950, in Warm Springs, Va., she was united in marriage to Wilson B. Taylor, who survives at Files Creek.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Stephen Taylor and wife, Mary Ann, of Tornado; six sisters, Helena Mary Herron of Ohio, Ruth Howard of Fairmont, Kathleen Pingley of Baltimore, Md., Iina Croston of Valley Bend, Irene Phillips of Valley Bend, and Bonnie Rhodes of Mississippi; and one brother, Lonnie Tackett of Mill Creek.
Also surviving are two granddaughters, Michelle Leigh Taylor and Annette Lynn Farrell; two great-grandchildren, Zachary Andrew Farrell and Jessica Nicole Farrell; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death besides her parents are one brother, Frank Tackett.
She was a member of the Silver Haired Legislature. She was a former member of the Randolph County Democratic Committee and was a member of the study group.
Mrs. Taylor was a homemaker and a Protestant by faith.
Friends will be received at F.E. Runner Funeral Home Chapel today after 6 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted from the Runner chapel Saturday at 1 p.m. The Rev. Frank Long pastor of the Mill Creek Memorial Mission Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Brick Church Cemetery in Huttonsville. The F.E. Runner Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Lina Mae Taylor. From 18 Apr 2003.
