Lora B. Steele, 91, of Route 2, Buckhannon, Bailey Ridge community, died Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2002, at her home.
Mrs. Steele was born July 31, 1911, at Upshur County, a daughter of the late Lloyd A. and Josie N. Shreve Bailey.
She married George Robert Steele, who preceded her in death in December 1971.
Surviving are two daughters, Marian Marsh, Moatsville, and Mary Francis Winans, Bailey Ridge; three grandchildren, Robert Smith, Moatsville, Michael Smith, Hodgesville, and Michele Mills, Buckhannon; eight great-grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren and five stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Ernest Paul Bailey.
Mrs. Steele was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Washington United Methodist Church.
Friends will be received at Tomblyn-whitescarver Funeral Chapel Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Saturday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. William Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Bailey Cemetery.
