Louis Edward McCord, 80, of Oil Creek Road, Roanoke, died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2002, at Braxton Health Center in Flatwoods.
He was born July 3, 1922, in Lewis County, a son of the late Lulu B. Neville.
He married Alta J. Keith McCord, who passed away on June 14, 1995.
Surviving are two sons, Louis “Sonny” McCord and Kenneth A. McCord, both of Oil Creek Road; three grandsons, Kenneth Keith McCord, Kevin Andrew McCord and Kasey Anthony McCord; and five great-grandchildren.
He was a retired electrician for Weston State Hospital. He attended Oil Creek United Methodist Church.
Friends will be received at Alkire Funeral Chapel today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Thursday at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park in Clarksburg.
