Louise Dowling Fout Carrico Obituary 1917-2012
Louise Dowling Fout Carrico, 95, of Thomas, passed away Dec. 31, 2012, at the Elkins Rehabilitation and Care Center in Elkins.
She was born Oct. 2, 1917, at Pierce, a daughter of the late Richard Lawrence Fout and Jessie Dowling Fout.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Carrico, Jr., two brothers, Richard and Delton Fout, and one sister, Virginia Helmick.
She is survived by one son, David R. Carrico, of Thomas; one daughter-in-law, Joyce Carrico; one sister, Janice (Jonas) Johnson, of Elkins; two grandchildren, Justin D. (Melisa) Carrico, of Oakland, Md.; Joshua D. (Casey) Carrico, of Thomas; three great-grandchildren, Trisha M. Miner, Skylar D. Carrico and Garret N. Carrico; and one great-great-grandchild, Trenton M. Smith.
Mrs. Carrico was a homemaker; she served as church treasurer for 40 years at the Presbyterian church in Thomas.
She enjoyed artwork and painting; some of her work is displayed at the Cancer Center in Elkins. She was very devoted to her son and grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Hinkle Funeral Home from 2 to 8 p.m. today. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church in Thomas with Rev. Jonas Johnson and Rev. David Shaffer officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
