LUCILLE BOND BROWNING, age 86 years, a resident of St. George, West Virginia, formerly of Mt. Airy, Georgia, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2011 at Cortland Acres.
Mrs. Browning was born on Friday, April 17, 1925, in Crawfordville, Georgia a daughter of the late Oscar and Leona York Bond. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Browning and one grandchild, Kevin Bingham. Mrs. Browning was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Airy Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy and Jean Browning, Clayton, GA and James and Marian Browning, Parsons, WV; sister, Frances Chafin, McDonough, GA; one uncle, James York, Habersham Mills; grandchildren, Holly Thompson, Lindsay Browning, Brooke Browning, Kara Stump, and Wayne Hanlon; great-grandchildren, Nikki Bingham, Austin and Shaee Bingham, Clay Thompson, and Logan Stump; and one great-great-grandchild, Bella Bingham.
Graveside services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2011, at Yonah Memorial Gardens with Rev. Blaine Walker officiating.
