OBITUARY: MABEL A. MILLER Mabel Angeline Miller, 91, of Rt. #1, Moatsville, died Thursday, February 4, in Mansfield Place, following an extended illness. She was born July 31, 1918, at Kasson, a daughter of the late Nathan D. “N.D.” and Mottie (Moore) Waugh. Her husband, Dale F. Miller, preceded her in death on October 10, 1984. Surviving are one daughter, Sharon Ashcraft, Sicklerville, N.J.; three sons, Gary N. Miller and wife, Faye, Sterling, Va., Charles N. Miller and wife, Judy, Moatsville, Larry D. Miller and wife, Marilyn, Abingdon, Va.; two sisters, Pearl Nestor and Doll Pitzer, both of Moatsville; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Mrs. Miller was also preceded in death by a brother, Junior Waugh and by a sister-in-law, Mollie (Miller) Wilfong. Mrs. Miller was a homemaker and farmer. She was a former member of the Kasson Ruritan and had attended the Mt. Morris U. M. Church. Until her eyesight failed, she was an avid reader. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, February 8, from the Stemple & Forman Funeral Home, 385 South Main Street, Philippi. The Rev. Jim Tallman will officiate and interment will follow in the Mt. Morris Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:30 until 8:00 P.M. on Sunday and from 9:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M., the funeral hour, on Monday.
