Madonna Burns 1938-2001 Obituary
Madonna Lee Burns, 62, of Parsons, died Aug. 24, at home. She had been in declining health since June and death was attributed to cancer.
She was born Nov. 11, 1938 at Parsons, a daughter of the late Roy Wade and Helen Wilhelm Burns. She had never married.
Survivng are three brothers, Rodney Dale (and Beulah) Burns, and Delvin (and Jeanie) Burns of Parsons, Allen Keith Sr. (and Loretta) Burns, Pasadena, MD; two sisters, Nina Buchanan, Parsons, Evelyn (and Mel) Gralitz, Frostburg, MD; and several nieces and nephews.
She was a 1957 graduate of Parsons High School, an employee of the former Dorman Mills of Parsons until its closing, the Parsons Footwear, and the Tucker county Board of Education as a custodian at the Tucker County High School and the Tucker county Career Center, retiring Jan 3, 2001.
Friends were received at the Barb-Greenlief Funeral Home where final rites were conducted Aug. 28. The Rev. John Glessner officiated and interment followed at the Parsons City Cemetery, Parsons.
