Margaret Ann Upton Lewis, age 79 of Beverly and more recently of Montrose, entered into eternal rest Sunday, December 2, 2012. She was born February 25, 1933 in Dartmoor to the late Dallas Upton and Verna Ellen Friel. She was united in marriage to Jack Neil Lewis, who preceded her in death. Margaret is survived by her two children, Virgie Reed and husband Don of Montrose, Jack Lewis and wife Patricia of Beverly; one sister, Connie Price of Florida; six grandchildren, Rachel Kelley, Amy Reed, Heidi Short, Kendra Lewis, Jackey Lewis and Chelsea Lewis; and nine great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and special friend David Rowan. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four siblings; Mary Malcolm, Ramona “Peggy” Brookins, Fred Upton and Dallas Upton, Jr. Margaret enjoyed gardening, talking on the CB, using the handle ‘Tippy Toes’ and spending time with her grandchildren. She also loved her dogs Toby and Peanut. During her married years, she and her husband lived abroad and traveled extensively living in such locations as France, Alaska and Japan. She was Baptist by faith and was a member of Faith Baptist Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made in Margaret’s memory to The Randolph County Humane Society, 195 Weese St. Ext.
