Margaret Donaldson 1910-2003 Obituary
Margaret Ellen Coontz Donaldson, 93, a resident of 200 Brown Ave. in Belington, departed this life at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003, in Davis Memorial Hospital.
She had been in declining health for quite some time.
She was born April 14, 1910, at Belington, the daughter of the late Roy and Grace Fitzwater Coontz.
On Feb. 3, 1927, she was united in marriage to Carl Cyrus Donaldson, who preceded her in death on March 10, 1985.
Surviving are one son, Robert “Bob” Donaldson and wife, Joan, one granddaughter, Jana Lee Ruf and husband, Eric, and one great-granddaughter, Anna Marie Ruf, all of Belington; and two nephews, Bill Boyles of Belington and James Dever of Walton.
Also surviving are several great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Genevieve Boyles; and one half brother, William Dever.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Mrs. Donaldson attended the schools of the Belington area, was a former member of the Rebekah Lodge in Belington, and was a member of the Barbour County Historical Society, Asbury United Methodist Church in Belington and Belington Chapter 68 Order of Eastern Star.
Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home in Belington from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and on Thursday until 2 p.m., the funeral hour, when services will be conducted from the funeral home parlor.
The Rev. Arden Beck will officiate and interment will follow in the Fraternal Cemetery in Belington.
