Marie Baughman Stalnaker, 94, of 310 Locust Ave., Philippi, died at 11:40 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, 2002, in Broaddus Hospital.
Mrs. Stalnaker was born May 22, 1907, in Barbour County, a daughter of the late Marcine and Rebecca Poling Elliott.
She was twice married. First, she married Gerald E. Baughman, who preceded her in death. Second, she married James F. Stalnaker, who preceded her in death.
Surviving is a brother, Paul V. Elliott, Akron, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Maysell Jones and Maxine Stalnaker; and a brother, David Elliott.
Mrs. Stalnaker worked for the government in Dayton, Ohio, for several years. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 41 of Philippi and a member of Crim Memorial United Methodist Church.
Funeral Arrangements: Friends will be received at Wright Funeral Home, 216 N. Walnut St., Philippi, today after 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Alicia Rapking officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.
