Marjorie “Dale” Goodman 1937-2021 Obituary
Marjorie “Dale” Goodman, age 84 years, a resident of Elkins, WV departed this life Monday evening, May 24, 2021 at the Genesis Rosewood Center in Grafton, WV.
She was born Tuesday, February 2, 1937 in Keyser, WV the daughter of the late Gretta Wood Goodman Whitlach, and stepdaughter of the late Robert Earl Whitlach, Sr. She had never married. She is survived by cousins and many friends. Preceding her in death besides her mother and stepfather, was a step brother, Robert Earl Whitlach, Jr.
Dale was known for her kindness and compassion. She loved working jigsaw puzzles and plastic canvas crafts, as her mother before her loved to do. She also attended church regularly and dearly loved her church and church family. She attended the schools of Randolph County and was a former member of the Woodford Memorial United Methodist Church and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from to 4pm-7pm on Thursday, May 27th. Final Rites will be conducted at the funeral home on at 10am on Friday, May 28th. The Rev. Brian Seders will officiate and interment will follow at the Mill Creek Cemetery at Mill Creek, WV. The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to the First United Methodist Church, 315 Kerens Avenue, Elkins, WV 26241.
