Martha Irene Copeman Graves, age 72 years, a resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away Friday, May 27, 2011. She was born August 27, 1938 at Preston County, a daughter of the late Ralph G. Copeman and Margaret N. Copeman. She was married to Jack Graves who preceded her in death. She is survived by one daughter, Chrystal Graves, of Harrison, TN, one son, Jason Graves and one granddaughter, Olivia Graves, both of Birchwood, TN. Also surviving are two brothers, Douglas Copeman, of Elkins, Fredrick Copeman, of Silver Springs, MD and two sisters, Barbara Kemp, of Charleston, TN and Doreen Widney, of Beverly.
Irene was a 1957 graduate of Elkins High School and was a Seventh Day Adventist by faith.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at the Lane Funeral Home, Chattanooga, TN. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 301 RHL Blvd., Suite 6 and 7, Charleston, WV 25309 or to Woodford Memorial United Methodist Church, 113 First Street, Elkins, WV, 26241.
