MARTHA NORIETA HALEY KERENS WEHR, age 75 years, a resident of Ellsworth, OH departed this life Sunday morning, January 16, 2011 at the Hospice House at Poland, OH.
She was born Friday, June 7, 1935 at Bergoo, WV a daughter of the late Ernest J. Haley and Theta M. Cummings Haley. She was twice married. First on December 24, 1951 she was married to Harold Kerens, who preceded her in death March 21, 1981. Second on August 12, 2000 she was married to Glenn L. Wehr who survives. Also surviving are one son, Donald (Max) Kerens, Port St. Lucie, FL; two daughters, Susan (Greg) Wilson, Millersburg, OH; and Mary (Tim) Woolley, Boardman, OH; one step-son, Bruce Wehr, Ellsworth, OH; two step-daughters, Phyllis Rustifo, Canton, OH; and Rebecca Wehr, Akron, OH; three brothers, Robert Tripplett, LA; Bill Tripplett, Bergoo; and Jim Tripplett, Adamsville, OH; one sister, Patty V. Riley, Tell City, IN; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Martha moved to Ohio in 1956 and to Ellsworth, OH in 2000. She was employed as a Nanny, enjoyed crocheting, spending time with her grandchildren and the children she cared for and loved the holidays and traveling.
The family will receive friends at the Clemente Funeral Home, Struthers, OH from 5 to 8 PM, Tuesday. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home Wednesday at 11 AM. Mrs. Wehr will then be moved to the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home at Elkins where final rites will be conducted at 2 PM, Thursday, January 20, 2011. Friends may call one hour prior to the ceremony. Pastor Greg William will officiate and interment will follow at the Elkins Memorial Gardens on the Airport Road. The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Road, Poland, OH 44514.
