Mary Ann Howard Rennix, 72, a resident of Valley Bend, passed from this life Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at home surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Mountain Hospice.
Mary Ann was born Tuesday, July 20. 1948, in Elkins, a daughter of the late Burl Lee Howard and Roxie Louise Tacy Howard. On September 2, 1967, she married the love of her life Leon K. Rennix who survives at home.
Also left to cherish her memory are two children, Burl Rennix of Valley Bend, and Mary Kay Brown and husband Robert of Dailey, four grandchildren, Shane, Jared, and Faith Brown, Caitlyn Rennix, special nephew, Todd Rennix of Mocksville, NC.
Preceding her in death besides her parents was one sister, Iris Lee Arbogast.
Mary Ann worked alongside Leon for nearly forty-eight years in their business, Mountain View Equipment Sales. She could do almost everything Leon could do including overhauling a Gravely. Mary Ann always said, “I would rather be up to my elbows in grease than housework”. Mary Ann will be remembered for her sense of humor and willingness to pull off a good joke on anyone. She was an amazing cook and baker and all who ate her food always said how good it was. She never let you leave her house hungry.
Services will be private. Mary Ann requested donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association
