Mary Harman Teter 1912-2001 Obituary
Mary Harman Teter, 89, of Seneca Rocks, died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2001, at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg.
Mrs. Teter was born Feb. 18, 1912 in Laneville and was a daughter of the late Asa Harman, Jr and Elizabeth Ketterman Harman.
She retired after serving as Seneca Rocks Postmaster for 19 years. She operated a restaurant at Seneca Rocks. She was a member of the Petersburg church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints; and a member of the Rock Cave V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, and the White Shrine of Elkins.
On July 11, 1947, she married Guy Teter, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mary Jo Heier, State College, PA, and Patricia Ann Long, Elkins; one son, Ronald A. Teter, Seneca Rocks; one sister, Ova Wellman, Huntington; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bishop David Bradley conducted the funeral at 1 p.m. Monday at the Harman Church of the Brethren. Burial followed in the Harman Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin.
