Mary June Kangas 1931-2021 Obituary
Mary June Kangas, age 90 years, a resident of Elkins, passed away Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Holbrook Healthcare Center in Buckhannon, WV. She was born May 20, 1931 a daughter of the late Irvin Johnson Paugh and the late Mary Easter Paugh. On September 6, 1968 she was married to Byron Kangas who preceded her in death March 27, 2020. Surviving is one daughter, Delores Cave of Beverly; three grandchildren, Aaron, Joshua and John Cave; seven great -grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Ervin Paugh, Jr. and Lloyal Dawson Paugh; and two sisters, Hazel Jeanne Salisbury and Hagar Paugh. Mary was a Registered Nurse for many years and attended the Elkins Church of the Nazarene. A private service will be held for Mary with interment to follow in the Maplewood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, Attention Kathi Exter, 4401 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15224 in memory of Mary.
