Mary Katherine Moore Cross, 48, a resident of Second Street, Parsons, departed this life Sunday evening, July 21, 2002, at the Mountain View Rehabilitation Center at Morgantown. Death was attributed to heart failure.
She was born July 20, 1954, at Weston, a daughter of the late Harry Moore and Polly Linger Moore.
On April 20, 1974, at Oakland, Md., she was married to James “Brad” Cross II, who survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Elaine Ann Fincham and husband, Doug, of Mill Creek; one brother, Pat Ashby of St. George; two sisters, Barbara Heckler and husband, Bud, Mackeyville, and Brenda Moore, Hambleton; and three grandchildren.
She attended the schools of Randolph and Tucker counties and had a great love for animals.
Friends will be received at Barb & Greenlief Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. today. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home parlor on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Pastor Pat Cassidy will officiate and interment will follow at Parsons Family Cemetery at Shaver’s Fork.
