Mary L. Morrison, 88, of 125 S. Eighth St., Hennepin, Ill., and formerly of Buckhannon, died Saturday, May 25, 2002, in Heartland Healthcare Center in Henry, Ill.
Mrs. Morrison was born March 1, 1914, in Gaines, a daughter of the late William and Emma Kelley Young.
In 1932, she married John C. Morrison, who preceded her in death in 1977.
Surviving are three daughters, Linda Litherland and husband, Eugene, Hennepin, Ill., Rosemary Olson and husband, Wayne, Indianapolis, Ind., and Dorothy Webster and husband, Nevin, Lincoln Park, Wis.; nine grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, Harry Young, Marvin Young,
Orville Young, Roy Young and Sidney Young; and one sister, Icie Young.
Mrs. Morrison was a homemaker. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church in Gaines. She was an associate member of First United Methodist Church in Buckhannon and an associate member of Hennepin United Methodist Church in Hennepin, Ill.
She was a member of Chapter 81 of OES of Rock Cave Eastern Star, Temple No. 134 Pythian Sister of Buckhannon.
Friends will be received at Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be at Salem United Methodist Church Thursday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Mark Flynn and the Rev. Carol Duffield officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Church Cemetery in Gaines. Memorial services will be at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with the OES Chapter 81 of Rock Cave conducting services. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Salem United Methodist Church in Gaines.
