Mary Louise Stone, age 82 years, a resident of Elkins, passed away Sunday morning, July 8, 2012 in the Elkins Rehabilitation and Care Center. She was born January 9, 1930 at Fairmont, WV a daughter of the late Harry Thurman Brumage, Sr. and the late Clara Jones Brumage. Surviving are one son, Hersel Stone, Elkins, one daughter, Nola Elaine Edmond, Elkins, one brother, Harry Brumage, Jr., Fairmont, WV, one sister, Norma Jean Yost, Farmington, WV, grandchildren, Hersel Steven Stone and wife Erin, Montrose, Ashley Stephens and Austen Edmond both of Elkins and great grandchildren, Kaitlynn and Trevor Stone.
Mary was employed for many years as a Nurse’s Aide at the Elkins Convalescent Hospital. She enjoyed working puzzles, reading her bible, car rides and she loved her grandchildren very much.
Friends may call from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 11th from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Leon Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Elkins Memorial Gardens on the Country Club Road. Contributions may be made to Tygart Valley Post 3647 Veterans of Foreign Wars, 536 Randolph Ave., Elkins, WV 26241 in memory of Mary.
