Mary M. Harper 1912-2003 Obituary
Mrs. Mary Ann (Mowery) Harper, 91, of Landes, died Feb. 6, at Grant Memorial Hospital, Petersburg.
Born Jan. 6, 1912, in Brushy Run, she was the daughter of the late Isaac Newton Mowery and Lillie Mae (Dean) Mowery. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leon L. Harper, whom she married July 27, 1940. He died Jan. 2, 1996. Mrs. Harper was the last member of her immediate family.
She is survived by three daughters,of Glassglow, Va.,of Stephens City, Va., and of Landes; three grandchildren,of Raleigh, N.C.,and of Stephens City and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Feb. 8, at the Schaeffer Funeral Home chapel, Petersburg, with interment in the Cherry Hill Cemetery, Upper Tract.
