Mary Margaret Durrett Gutshall departed this life at the age of 94 on June 13, 2020 while under hospice care at Valentine Personal Care in Elkins, WV. She was born in Barbour County, WV on August 18, 1925 to the late Dewey Lee Durrett and Bernice C Simons Durrett. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Mervin W Gutshall, Sr., her son Mervin W Gutshall, Jr. and daughter, Cinthy L. Gutshall Boblett. She is survived by her brother, Jim F. Durrett of Elkins, WV and her son, Ellis L. Gutshall and wife Lee C. Gutshall of Bald Head Island, NC. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Dianne Gutshall Slaughter of Jane Lew, WV, son-in-law Patrick James Boblett of Auburn, Alabama and 8 grandchildren: Kelly Boblett Griffith and Ryan Patrick Boblett, both of Atlanta, GA, Brennan Matthew Boblett of Orinda, CA, Melissa Gutshall McCullogh of Norcross, GA, Josh Laban Gutshall of Jupiter, FL, Gabrielle Gutshall Vick of Tallahassee, FL, Coleman Allen Gutshall of Hickory, NC and William Price Gutshall of Roanoke, VA; and 17 great grandchildren. The Reverend Brian L. Seders will officiate the graveside memorial at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2020 and interment will follow at the Mountain State Memorial Gardens in Elkins, WV. The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to West Virginia Caring Hospice at P. O. Box 760, Arthurdale, WV 26520. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Mary Margaret Durrett Gutshall.
