Maude Ruth Dean, 92, a resident of 103 Gilmore St., Elkins, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2002, in Davis Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 30, 1910, at Beverly, a daughter of the late Bolivar H. Barb and the late Hannah A. Phillips Barb.
She was married to Clatis Austin Dean, who preceded her in death on Aug. 11, 1984.
She is survived by one daughter, Roberta Gillespie, Gallopolis, Ohio; four grandchildren, Jerry, Michael and Robert Cunningham and Judy Fisher; and three great-grandchildren.
Also preceded her in death was one grandson, Jimmy Cunningham; six brothers and seven sisters.
Mrs. Dean was a homemaker and enjoyed crafting and was an avid quilter. She was a Protestant by faith.
Friends may call from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. today at Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday from the funeral home chapel. Pastor Ralph Andrus will officiate and interment will follow in Mt. State Memorial Gardens near Gilman.
