MELISSA ANN HADDIX Melissa Ann Haddix, 42, of Rt. #2, Philippi, died Monday evening, May 7, 2012, in the Rosewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Grafton. She had been in ill health but her death was unexpected. Mrs. Haddix was born December 3, 1969, at Philippi, a daughter of Barbara Ann (Foster) Gillis who survives at Philippi and the late Matthew Earl “Mack” Gillis. Also surviving are her husband, Timothy Lynn Haddix, Bridgeport; one daughter, Katelyn Rose Kbiru and husband, Ken, Philippi; one son, Brandon Timothy Haddix, Bridgeport; two sisters, Elizabeth (Jason) Moats, Moatsville, Sarah “Renee” (Tommy) Haddix, Philippi; one brother, David (Nancy) Gillis, Mt. Sydney, VA; and an anticipated first grandchild, Kendra Wanjiru Kbiru. Mrs. Haddix was also preceded in death by one son, Mason Andrew Haddix and by a brother, Matthew Earl “Tinker” Gillis Jr. Mrs. Haddix was a homemaker and a member of the Evangelical Bible Church. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and scenic autumn drives. She particularly enjoyed spending time with family. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 10, 2012 from the Evangelical Bible Church, Glade Run Road off W.Va. Rt. #38. The Rev. Eugene Carey will officiate and interment will follow in the Central Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call at the Stemple & Forman Funeral Home from 4:00 until 9:00 P.M. on Wednesday and from 9:00 until 11:00 A.M., on Thursday when Mrs. Haddix will be moved to the Evangelical Bible Church where friends may call from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 P.M. , the funeral hour. Stemple & Forman Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
