Melissa Crites-Butler 1970-2003 Obituary
Melissa Crites-Butler, 33, of 512 N. Main St., Bridgewater, Va., died Saturday, Aug. 23, 2003, in the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, Va.
She was born Aug. 23, 1970, in Philippi.
She is survived by her husband, David Wayne Butler.
Surviving are her parents, Thomas and Treasea Crites of Buckhannon; her mother, Ella Rebecca Crites of Buckhannon; two sons, David Butler II of Bridgewater, Va., and Dallas Thomas Butler of Bridgewater, Va.; one brother, Scott Thomas Crites of Buckhannon; one sister, Tiffany Carpenter of Buckhannon; and her paternal grandfather, Paul Crites of Buckhannon.
She was the owner of Melissa’s Childcare and was an administrative assistant for Banta Book Group. She was very active in Childcare Advocacy in Virginia.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home in Buckhannon where funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Nancy Killingsworth will officiate and interment will follow at the Rocky Ford Church Cemetery in Buckhannon.
