Michael “Mike” Lee Arbogast 1982-2021 Obituary
Michael “Mike” Lee Arbogast, 39, a resident of Mill Creek, passed from this life Friday, September 10, 2021, at home. He was in his usual health and death was unexpected.
Mike was born Tuesday, January 19, 1982, in Elkins, a son of Debra Wamsley and stepfather, Roger of Mill Creek, and David Arbogast and Peggy of Huttonsville. He married the former Lori Simmons who survives.
Also left to cherish his memory is one son, Isaiah Simmons of Cassity, two brothers, David Arbogast and wife Sidney of Valley Bend, and Travis Riffle, special nephews, Damian Wamsley and Courtney Barb, Melik Hart, and Kason Arbogast, special great-niece, Harlyn Wamsley, several half brothers and stepsisters, sister in law, Kim Simmons Holderfield, brother in law, Bret Simmons, three special dogs that he thought of as his kids, Baby, Teeny, and Little Man, and mother in law, Donna Simmons of Cassity.
Preceding him in death was his father in law, William “Bill” Simmons.
Mike attended the schools of Randolph County and was a boss in the coal mines for many years. He loved his job and was currently employed at Beech Mountain Coal Mine. He had also worked for Carter Roag, Mettiki, and Ten Mile. Mike loved to deer hunt and was able to fix anything that didn’t work for his family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.
The family’s request for cremation was honored. A memorial service will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home Monday, September 27, 2021, from 4 pm until 6 pm, the funeral hour.
